where to mount xm radio

I drop my shuttle in the armrest (concealed) and the wires run under the center consel. I don't change stations much. If I'm in the mood to listen to a variety, I just lay it in my lap. I left 2 feet of wire in the armrest for mobility. Out of sight and not an easy smash n grab. The antennae is under the 3rd brake light cover on the back dash. No wires are exposed and the antennae works great even though its under the plastic.

i wonder if it would work if i mounted the antennae unter the 3rd brake light cover....since i have a spoiler i dont have an inside 3rd brake light. or even on the trunk lid...just inside the trunk.....hrm....

i have that....but dont you have to have 2 different things to make it opperate? i was looking at best buy the other day and both were 60 bucks...so 120 to control it through my head unit or less than that to have an external unit?

Personal opinion is all that really matters anyhow, but I like having the seperate "tuner" for the xm. I can take it and put it in my truck when we take that. I can pop it into the dock station and I have a boombox. I can do the dock station into my home system... You can get the headphone kit for it.... Just alot of possibilities for the split system in my mind.

ok so i installed it tonight...not the best job...im kinda tired. im going to clean it up tomorrow a bit and take some pics. decided to go with sirius radio instead though. i love it so far!!!

I'm looking for input on where to mount the antenna, I have a kit on the way, and I deffinatly don't want to put it outside the car looking all GITF.

i mounted mine under the rear deck (between the metal and plastic top piece) and it works just fine...and you cant see it at all...but you have a p5 so idk....maybe there is a peice you can take off kinda like that.

no excuse, make it look sick, go home, snap a pic, post it, let me laugh at it, go back to work

c? easy :D

gotta say...nice.....didn't know you had a single din......kinda like my double din install.......

No comment on the serius....you'll learn. You may like it now....but...xm rules! JK....kinda..but I like my xm.

I don't like it....sorry....that's just my opinion. I don't like how the pocket is behind the Sirius unit, completely open, but can't be used.

that pocket was worthless before.....i never used it....i might find some scrap metal or something to fill it in.... thanks for the comments though!

ive got a different cluster on the way..... and once i get that imma change the colors in the a/c control panel. itll flow better then, i think.
