Ok, for those who will be in the South DFW area this weekend starting Thrusday night I will begin working on my turbo upgrade & exhaust upgrade. We will be installing a stock turbo that has been upgraded by MPNick along with the exhaust manifold, I am also installing a 10lb watsegate and a MPNick custom made 80mm MAF and a true turbo back 3" exhaust by ION!!!!

So those who wish to stop by even stay the night can start doing onThrusday and it will go through Sunday.

We are also tuning two mpi units so let the fun begin and pm me for phone numbers and directions....

Texas is WAY cooler then NJ. I would go if I wasn't a New Jersian.

Good luck.

I have the iON TBE Also (thumb) I love it minus some issues with it.

fly down and we'll pick you up at the airport(thumb)

care to share your minor issues with the ION TBE????

Minor issues equal:

The DP mates to the cat pipe via this ball joint sytle connection. There is a rounded gasket that goes on the DP and the cat pipe is flared at the end to go over the gasket and use the springs from the old exhaust in the application so the pipes can move. My flare on the cat pipe was not flared enough and just basically butts up against the gasket.

The same cat-pipe for some reason had an anle to it making it point up and smash my cross memeber causing sever rattling.

These problems I had fixed for 90 dollars at a great shop here in NJ so no biggie.

My latest problem, using stock exhaust rubber exhaust hangers, the actual metal bar triangulated hangar coming off the muffler actually pulled the muffler apart where it was welded and I now have a gaping hole there.

Yes minor issues : ) I still love it though. Basically because i force myself too since I spent so much money on it and my friend with the GHL paid less than half what I paid for basically the same thing minus the problems.

good to know what to look for: I got mine used for $750 it came with the test pipe and the s pipe has been ceramic coated. I will run the test pipe most of the time and use the 3" racing cat unti when I get inspections.

it also came with kartboy exhaust hangars.... it was used for like a month then taken off it still looks brand new...

Thats about it, my DP is ceramic coated as well. After install and you change your oil, becareful, I have the flakes from the DP in my eyes hehe. But the coating does work well I think.

here are pictures of the gasket butting up problem I was talking about. And also here is where the exhaust was hitting in the back of the car prior to being fixed and then a pic after fixed.

Patrick why dont you bring your stuff over to richards and we can do your install at the same time? its looking like it will be me, rich, moeed, mark and if you come over, then you as well. I would think thats more than enough people to get these installs knocked out pretty quick. I think it will def. make for a fun weekend of installing turbos and tunning MPI's. I am also going to try and get my new head light housing's and fog lights in.

I may head up there on Sunday night, if not Monday morning and stay till Tuesday.......ill get with Mx3ownzjoo and see about meeting up with u guys.
