Just finished up installing a Greddy RS blow off valve kit from Apex Motorsports, ACT clutch & a GHL turbo back exhaust.
Great experience all together, saved some money as well, a friend & myself did the work. The clutch was a pain; taking out the tranny without a lift is not fun at all. My stock disk was worn away pretty bad. The ACT clutch is really nice, I love the way it feels. The GHL was a lot of work to install, but well worth the time, it sounds great & gives the car some good power. Funny thing was I found the stock turbo bolts to the S pipe loose when I removed the manifold/turbo/S pipe out. I never removed the turbo, so I think heat & engine movement played a part. The quality of the GHL is top notch. I have some pics. of the manifold, turbo & new GHL S pipe out of the car. Ill post them later when I get my camera.
In total I think about 20 hr. of work, not bad considering we did this on are backs. The turkey is out full force now, the turbo spools much louder.
I feel like keeping the car now, but the theres a STI with my name on it somewhere. Anyway if any of you guys out there are going to install any of these parts, just go for it, do it yourself. It feels good to know you did the work. Also any questions I can help you guys with just let me know.
