Actually the interior is pretty good. To be honest though the car, both exterior and interior, is not very photogenic but in reality it's beautiful (to me anyway). As far as driving is concerned, I love it and right now we're at 1200 km on the odometer and only 300km away from the recommended break in and can't wait. I just love the feel of AWD control.

One interesting thing to point out, the 06 WRX has 2 cats post-downpipe, therefore the up-pipe no longer has a warm-up cat on it. I am beginning to wonder if this car is underrated cause it sure feels like it. I am thinking 2.5L, no primary cat, shouldn't this yield more than the 3hp and 17ft-lbs of torque over last year that they list for its specs?

Woh, I never realized that they put the 2.5L turbo in the regualar WRX now! That's awesome! As far as the small gain in power, I'm sure that the boost is dialed down. It's a different engine than the 2.0L from the '05, so there could be a ton of changes that affect the powerband (cams, etc).

Does anyone know if this is the same engine as the STi, essentially? What are the differences?

I know its not the same engine as in the STI, i think its the same motor as in the Legacy GT.

good stuff, but the wheels aren't that pretty. it's nice that they've got the 4-pot brakes up front, but they could've designed a better wheel.

I think they are banking on the idea that people will l buy them to mod and will most likely change the wheels anyway. They have a couple wheel options, but nothing special.
