Thought I'd post my ADR Battles with Goodyear 215/40 F1 GS-D3s. Formerly ran 205 F1s but bent too many wheels--the 40 was more like a 35 profile.

Sorry, had 225 up there...(braindead

I like that look. I hate when people run tires that are way too low or too skinny so the sidewall leans way in.

Isn't 225 gonna rub though? You could have gotten the same look with like a 215/45 too.

They're 215s; I hit the wrong key and didn't see it 'til you mentioned it. BTW, the tires stick like glue--8.5" wide tread helps. Also, the extra sidewall height prevents more bent rims.

They rub slightly in back on heavy impact bumps, on bumps with two people in back and when cornering very hard, but not enough to bother rolling the fenders.

I'm running MP3 springs and Tokico Blues so the car's about 3/4" lower and stiffer than stock. I like the combo although I still have to change sway bars to complete the package.

whats the offset on your rims?
Offset +40, only one available on these wheels when I last checked.

BTW, if you run 205s on these ADRs, they will not rub even when lowered on Espelirs. Had springs on, but knew 1.2" drop wouldn't make it with 215s.

How wide are the wheels, 7" or 8"? I was going to assume 7", but just checking. Offset doesn't mean much without wheel width.

i was thinking of doing 215/45 or 50's for my next tires.....do you get any rubbing????

looks nice....

nice just need a little drop
Had a drop with Espelirs on 205/17s, but with 215s, MP3 springs are as low as I can go without doing some fender rolling. I also use the car to help my wife in her biz, and with the back loaded with about 300# of stuff, lowering any further really isn't a viable option; loaded, it graunches even with MP3 springs.
