Holdup. Let me get this right, you're making 2 different sized boxes? if it's not too late, stop and rethink. I understand show and whatnot and allof that, but having the same sub in different sized boxes in one car= horriblly scattered responce. You can't always just add bass in any old mannar and expect output to increase. in fact you may be shooting yourself in the foot half of the time with some frequencies cancelling eachother out. If you can't do all the same sized box, I still highly recommend that you put them in a common airspace.
Well, if the boxes are sized properly and sealed, then you couldmake one twice the size of the other so techinicly each sub is getting the same airspace.

The other possibility is to make a hidden chanber that connects the boxes although it will probably have to be atleast equal incross sectional area to the surface are of the sub.

I guess there's different amps going in as well. this might be an interesting test of theory vs reality, Hopefully rob'll be able to make some SPL runs with different configurations and see what happens.

For anyone getting any idea,s tis is a showthing primarily, as far as real world performance this setup might be weird, or it might work, but there's definately alot of chance.

gotta love all show and no go setups. This is why I hate import display show cars they way to often have TERRIBLE sounding audio setups that took WAY to much time and money to complete.

The generalities aside, it could work if the amps were atleast the same series and an oscilliscope was used to accurately set the power level then it could work, but its unlikley and overly complex for no practicle prucpose.

I'm not feeling this setup at all. I commend you for being a DIY'er but that box doesn't seem to have much planning. The holes weren't cut very smooth and for 3 subs it sure takes up alot of space. You could easily fit that all under the rear deck if you built the right size box. I'm not even sure the trunk will close once you install those subs inverted.

yes my router was mad at me so i had to cut the holes with a jigsaw and yes i could have fit everything under the rear deck but that would be a boring square box .... so i wanted somthing diffrent. anyway this is just for a few shows and then i will make a permanent box out of fiberglass

well here is the final test fit, tomorrow the center sub will be hooked up..... and next wed it will be carpeted........
anyway enjoy the pics

well i am still awaiting my 0 guage power wire/new cap/carpet and 2 more amps to run all 3 subs but i did get the one amp and the rear sub installed and hooked up to my old 4 ga pwr wire. it sounds badass....... really hard hitting and deep...... i can't b**** at all..... i can't even imagine what 3 will sound like. just figured i would share. the only prob i am having is i am pushing my 1600 watt to it's limits...... so it gets hot wuick so i bought some 4 in cooling fans to give it cold air from underneith.
