02 Pro5 rims in chrome???

Just a quick question about the 2002 Protege5 rims. Did they come in chrome or is that just the 03 Pro5 rims? I tried to search but didn't find anything too useful. Thanks.

theres an black 02 4 houses away with chrome wheels and im pretty sure the owners wont be doing that themselves.

All Protege5's had that as an option, polished or painted. The shapes of the rims changed in 2002.5, but you always had the option.

This is what I know to be true in the US, Canada might be different.

Would the 02 Pro5 rims in chrome be considered rare? I don't think I ever seen them before.

I don't think they are rare. When I bought my 02 P5 they were a lot at the dealership with chrome.

they're dirty but these were my polished 02 wheels. never cared for them so i bought another set and painted them.

2002.5's wheels are slightly different from 2002's, I like the 2.5's much better. When I bought my P5 new it had the chrome wheels already, alone with a number of cosmetic "mid-cycle refreshing." So I am not sure if the wheels were part of the refreshing package. I got no pics right now.

Mine were chrome but i didnt care too much for it so i painted them

I used Graphite Duplicolor wheel paint. Ive used it on both of my cars Its good stuff

Thanks for the replies. I like the look of chrome rims on a black car but thats just me. I have tried to find some around where I live (Vancouver) and I can't seem to find them anywhere. Guess I'll keep looking. I would go with aftermarket rims but I want to keep my Pro5 looking like stock.

i could have got the polished wheels when i got my p5 but, i didn't care because i was going to get after market wheels anyway..
here is a few pics of before i did anything to it..and a few what after some mods..

actually my car doesn't even look like that anymore.. the white stickers aren't there anymore, i had black ones made and they run on the skirt of the car..and my plates have changed..hehehe

and i haven't gotten a close up of the new wheels yet.. will do so soon...
