drove an Audi A3 today

so yea i drove one. they have a promo where you can get 33 itunes downloads if you take a test drive. as of now every dealership should have gotten 1 only. If it hasn't sold then it should still be there. The one i drove was black and had cloth and pretty much no options but was still very nice. It's a 2.0L turbo and it's soooo quiet. It also handles mad crazy. I was incredibly impressed by the car. Nice clutch feel and a smooth acceleration. no turbo lag at all. car just took off. if i was lookin for an audi with a low price range i would definately be all over this car. i like it but it think i would spend my money on an STI since it costs about the same. The base model i drove was 26000. The one with all the options is around 32000. I had fun with it tho

yeah it's definately a fun car to drive. could definately give good ole msp a run for it's money. the hatch anyway, not sure about that s3 but it's probably badass

I had a run with one in my P5 and the outcome wasnt pretty. Very nice cars and if they really in the states it might take the place of my Evo. Would very much rather have the S3.

all the A3's are 5 door right now. they don't have any 3 doors yet. not sure if we will ever see the S3 or not

well from my understanding. the a3 have been global for some years now but never brought over to usa. i beleive there was a safety issue that needed to be resolved so hence why we never got it. that and probably emissions like any other car. but i like the 3 door more, lets just hope the bring it over. also the a3 can come with the 4 cyl we get and a v-6 so lets hope the performanc version is 3 door and v-6 bwahahaha

Yes I wanted to mention that but I'm not 100% certain. It may very well be the same platform.

i beleive all audi cars and vw cars are interrelated because they are owned by the same company. basically the a3 is an expensvive golf i am told?!?! but yeah if you see the new vw's comming out you see their audi counterparts. for example the audi a8 and the vw phaeton(sp?) basically same car. the new passat = the new a6. the new jetta = the new a4. and etc. they look so alike and basically are the same except one is vw and the other is audi and one is marked up while the other is not. take for example the vw tourag(sp?) and the porsche cayanne(sp?) it is the same car. except porsche's is much more expensive. yes the porsche version has a tt version and is more performance but as my father says "if i were to buy a cayanne id rather just buy the tourag because its the same car and chasis just cheaper".

touareg and cayenne may be the same car but i'm sure if you were to sit in the porsche and then in the touareg, you'd see a big big difference, it's not more expensive just because its a porsche hehe. that would be like saying oh im not gona buy the IS300 because the Corolla is the same car, just cheaper (example)

i don't like the tourareg, the gas and brake r WAY too sensitive, the cayyena is awsome, especially the turbo

the a3 and the new gti are the same car. same chasis and everything just different interiors and body panels. vw owns audi(or the other way around) and lamborghini and a few others. the new golf's 5cyl has parts from the lambo. kinda cool.

Don't know what they feel like, but I can tell you those damn things fly like a mother! I was on 395 N in Reno and one came up the on ramp and as soon as he hit freeway he stomped it, that damn SUV took off like a bat out of hell.
