Well, I finally pulled the trigger tonight on some new wheels using Wheelmax's new online ordering. I got 17" Exel Ennios with 215/40/17 Hankook Ventus HR II H405 for $796.00 shipped to the house, mounted, balanced, lugs and valve stems. Hope they get here soon!

damn, i wish i could get a set of wheels/tires/lugs/mounting/balancing all shipped to my door for that price. It costs an arm and a leg to send s*** from the Cont. US to Hawaii.

Nice rims by the way. Looks like someones down here. I wonder if he'll chime in later on, and post about it. hehe.

i wonder who that is... o.O,

nice price like ash said. it costs $250 to ship here!

post pics later!

I just got my new mp3 rims powdercoated bronze with my falken ziex tires put on. Cost me $750 about in the end, and a nice curb job from townfair tire lol. They damaged 3 of the rims, but they are all getting fixed.....they look so nice on the car though......mmmm sexy

Grrrrrrr....they're sold out of the Silver and the Hyper Black in 17's for another month.

They just offered me the 18's in Silver for $50 more (with tires nonetheless)..........would you do it?

My *only* concern is the lower profile tire.....not sure if I want to do it or not.

HELP!

I would jump on that deal, unless you are extremely worried about the extra rotating mass it's going to add. That's a heck of a deal. Only $50 more for a set of 18"s and tires to go with. (shocked)

Well, like I said, my issue is with the lower profile tire. The roads here on Long Island are pretty bad and I drive 40 miles one way to work every day. The last thing I want to do is have to pay extremely close attention to the road all day and night to avoid any road hazards that could result in a bent rim and whatnot. I'd rather enjoy my drive than have to worry about it.

I caved under pressure and went with the 18's!

I looked, and the difference in sidewall height is only .4" so I should be ok if I make sure I keep the tire pressure up.

They had to switch the tires over to Hankook K106's, but that's cool.

So, all in all, I ended up with 18's for $846 shipped....not bad!

not a smart choice since you drive on crappy roads

potholes will own you, and the ride will be much worse.

I thought about that, and then I thought to myself that by the time I get the wheels and put them on, the pot holes will be filled (NY trans is good about getting them filled right after winter) and then I'll make sure I remove them before the bad weather hits. They certainly won't be used year 'round.

I should be ok.

I also had 18's with 215/35/18's on my Prelude for 8 months before it got stolen and never had a single problem now that I think about it.

My wheels are here.....I just wasn't home to sign for them!!!!!!!!

UPS will be back by tomorrow to deliver the goods. I should have them on and pics by the evening.

Stay tuned........

The only reason I wouldn't get 18s right now is the fact that tires are so much more expensive. But, I'm broke and in school, so I can barely afford 17s!

If I were in your position though, I would have jumped on that buy as well. Amazing deal!! And the Ennios are my wheel of choice at the moment...not that I could afford them. :)

Congrats and post pics as soon as you can.

I have the WORST luck, ever!

Well, my wheels finally got here about 2pm and I was ready to rock....they were beautiful. I had all four mounted and was ready to pull the jack when I looked back at the rear of the car and noticed how far out the wheel was sticking. I immediately thought to myself that they sent me the wrong wheels, and sure enough, they did. They sent me 18x8's instead of 18x7....BASTARDS!! So, after 45 minutes on the phone with Wheel Max, I find out that they don't even make an 18x7 in our bolt pattern (would have been nince if the guy last week hadn't lied and told me they did) and that they would credit me $100 so I could go and get my fenders rolled. Are you ******* kidding me?!?!?! Had I wanted 18x8's that's what I would have ordered, idiots! So, they finally said they would take them back and credit my card when they get them.

Now, I have to wait until they get the 17's in since I don't want to settle for any other wheel. I'm gonna go with the 17's because after seeing how tiny the sidewall on the 18's were, I'm gonna stick with the 17's. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise?!?!

Anyway, the wheels were GORGEOUS, so I had to snap a quick few pics!

Here ya go....

they look completely bad ass, roll your fenders and be done with it. How bad is the rubbing?

To me, 18's make the 5 look like a covered wagon. The design looks sweet, but it will look much better with 17's IMO... good luck.

I dunno how bad the rubbing was.....I didn't drive it. Not to mention the fact the the tires looked like rubber bands. Also, a 215/35/18 on an 8 inch wide rim looks very stretched...that's one of the things that looked odd about the wheels.

I'm thinking the 17's will be just fine if they ever get them in. Apparently the machine that makes the 17's broke a while back and they just recently got it fixed, so they should be in soon. Probably gonna go with Hyper Black instead as well.

They did look sweet though....very nice quality too. I was impressed.
