After 2 weeks of one and off install I finally sorta finished the system. The whole system is kicking some serious ass...love getting my back messaged by two 10"s (headbang)

The toughest part was fitting two single din units in the P5 dash. I didn't want to pay $80 to get a custom mold made so I dremeled a Scotch dash kit from Crutchfield to fit two dins. It still needs some fine sanding and shiat but it works for now.

The HU is a Pioneer DEH-P725R that I've had for 9 years! Damn thing won't break so I can't get a new one, but it still sounds, looks and works awesome so there is no need right now. The upper unit is a Pioneer DEQ-9200 digital audio processor, looots of fine tuning options. (yes)

The lows go throught an Alpine MRP-M350 mono amp to pair of 10" JLs, the mids go through MRP-F240 4 channel to Infiniti reference 6x8, and the highs go through MRP-T220 2 channel to MB Quart tweets.

Sooo exciiited...gone drivin' (evil)

its a double din opening... it always fits two.

Well, to fit two single dins it gets more compicated. The opening was about 1/2" too tall and too much recess into the dash if I was to simply put two units in there without some kind of trim. The trick was making the trim.

I'm interested in seeing your bracket, rough cut and finished product.

OK, here it is. Finally had the time to finish things up. The bracket was cut from a Scotch single-din with pocket kit.

How are you liking the MRP-M350 amp? I am looking at getting one and a 10" Type-R sub with it. Is nice that I can get the adapter and and control the amp from my 9835 head unit.

I got 2 single DINs to fit in our opening with pretty much no modification. I just had to make a 1/4" spacer between the DVD player and screen so the trim on the two units would clear each other.

Yours does look more professional then mine though. I just squeezed both units in together until they sat flush with the center trim.

Ya I tried using a spacer as well but the DEQ unit doesn't protrude as much as the CD player, so I still couldn't get rid of the extra space beneath the DEQ and the factory trim. With the bracket the xtra space was eliminated, the CD player just sits on top of DEQ, although I had to dremel some exess trim from the DEQ so they will both fit nicely together.

Your setup looks nice too, well done. (thumb)
