Does anyone know a graffiti artist that is not too expesive and local?
I want them to spray paint my walls.
I'll supply all the paint that they need.
If you know someone like that let me know.

Thanks
Ying

I could sketch a couple designs for you Ying. See what you like/don't like.
What are the dimensions of the walls being covered?

I was just looking at the website. I've seen one of the mural's that mr totem has done where he left a phone # on the side.. I'll foward you the number the next time I drive by the place.
I dunno if it's worth the effort since he'd probally want a larger paycheck.

this is the mural - it's a couple miles away from lil' 5

go to www.artcrimes.com, you will be able to find artists from your state on there. if i lived close, i would hook you up. how big is the space and on what type of material/texture would he be painting on? good luck

i painted my walls inside before and it was cool at first but i got tired of looking at it.. it also didn't help when the police came and arrested me.. but i think it's fair to tell you, when i did it, I found that the paint ran a lot easier (the walls didn't soak it in).. and when I moved, it was a b**** to paint over.. (I even had to sand it down before painting it)..

just a few things to consider..

it's best to add a primer first before painting it. A little tip is to draw the piece in chalk first to make sure its preportioned right. When painting: fill in each letter/ character feature first then do the outline last. Use good paint too. The cheap s**** is like water and soaks up too fast and it turns out like s***. Krylon, Belton & Montana paint is the best stuff to use.

I am a fan of rust-oleum myself.. and can vouch that you get what you pay for.. stay away from the cheap off-brands..

also, don't attempt anything using the caps that come with the cans.. i stick with a ny fat for fill-ins and a german thin for detail..

..another FYI,
There's a kid who runs a airbrush shack at North Dekalb Mall who's more than willing to paint your place, Ying. He's definitely talented..

how much does he charge?

Do you have a theme you want for the wall? Something car related would be cool IMO.

It'll depend upon what the dimensions of you place are.
I can make a run up to the mall this friday to ask him if you'd like.
