not worthless... but you'll see how hot your EGT's are... they'll let you know if your turbo is about to overheat... and its perfect for knowing how long to idle the car before shutting it off

I'm peicing together a MAM sleeper right now. Got my boost gauge and I'm going to go with the AEM wideband. How about the oil pressure and EGT? Which are the best brands? Best price?

I'm partial to Defi... is what I have...but they aren't cheap at ALL!!

plus they match the AEM pretty well....

also, I removed the orange "condoms" from my gauge cluster bulbs, and it looks even more like the defi's.... I love it

thats really odd - they use the same sensor as the AEM last i checked

I havent a clue i havent used em... my friend had one and he hated it, when i was shopping this what he told me to stay away from.

I really dont have to worry about turbo heat or letting my car idle since I will be running mattys supercharger. Which is internally belt driven and makes very very little heat. Plus I will only be running it at 4psi. I guess i better start saving for a WBo2

thats would be a better idea than an EGT in your case... besides EGT gauge and probes are pretty pricey compared to other gauges... save the $ for the WB

You got any pics my man? I am really anal and want everything to match perfectly. I just picked up 3 defi d-gauges (boost, oil pres, egt) and i want them to match the stock lighting dead on. If you got any pictures, etc, i would love to see them. I have to take the cluster out to put davb's on anyway so i could take the condoms off then.

I used to, but I'm having trouble finding them... my car is apart, and the battery is dead too, so I can't get new ones... but I talked PDHaudio83 into doing it too (he also has Defi) and if you asked him he could probably get you a picture. also JDM Sam did this (he's the person that talked me into it)

basically the defi gauges have a little blueish white ring around the very center of the gauge. about where the needle sticks through. and when you remove the condoms on the stock gauge cluster it becomes more orange (like the defi's) and it gains the little blueishwhite ring in the middle.

it does look good.

I also painted my defi rings (the black one with the red trangle on it) silver to match my AEM WB and my daveB gauge cluster.

I can get a pic of this later for you if you want.

For gauge pods you can get them from jegs.com or summitracing.com. Both have a good price and are reasonable priced. If you want the non-full dual pillar pod you can have mine for $20.

well, I got my gauge pod from protege garage, the Defi's from JDM Sam @ crossover Auto, and the AEM WBO2 from Beau.

i used to make them and have one left that needs repair/refinish if you want it. i'll redo it for you if you are interested
