is that chinese or what?

some of you people will laugh to know that the last word (remember: farsi reads right to left) in the third sentance down from "read after your instructor" says "budwieser beer"

its very difficult, because most times they dont write vowels. so you arent sure unless you actually recognize the word...and pronuncations are so close:

(in english basic phoenetic translation)

chetoree "how are you"
SHetoree "you are a camel"

sometimes. the problem is, i dont know enough vocabulary to know when it is a sentance and when it is just a long word. because some letters in their alphabet cannot connect to other letters so there are breaks in the group...so unless you know the vocabulary very well, you cant tell if it is a sentance or not.

just like, some english words are whole sentences in other languages

don't know any foreign languages much?

the instructors barely speak english and he kept saying "octopussy" instead of "octopi" today over and over. it is VERY disrespectful to laugh at a teacher in iranian culture so everyone is like trying to hide their face.

btw, in case anyone didnt know, its not pronounced I-ran, its pronounced EE-raan...

I know how Iran is pronounced, hehe, Im Russian, and yea I know what you mean when a language is hard to learn. Eh, I started learning English back in Russia in 6th grade and by 10th grade I was owning all kids in class and almost owned a teacher herself. But then again, I would say that Russian is a more complex language than English, just like Iranian language. Mad props to you man for learing different language!!
