One Hot VW Corrado

I love corrado's, and that first one brings a tear to my eye knowing how few of those there are.

I'm not sure how I feel about about a big hole in the hood, but otherwise - nice. It actually looks like a Corrado.
The cut-out is necessary. The piping and manifold doesn't fit otherwise.

does the $13,000 price tag make it any worse?
Very much so.

Imagine: for fifty bucks any one of us could have attacked it with some bondo and spraypaint and it would have looked just as bad.

I had one of these new in 93 with the VR6. It was an awesome car. The torque curve was great. Didn't handle as well as the MSP though!

I wouldn't mind having another, but it wouldn't be as ugly as the one you posted!

Obviously, but I think there could be a more aesthetic way of covering it (ie - bulged hood, tasteful hood scoops, etc...). Maybe trying to do that would be too ricey for some, I just don't think the big hole in the hood matches the aesthetics of the rest of the car. Just personal opinions - that's all. I like sleeper cars - the ones that don't look like they're fast, but have it where it counts. This car definitely has the latter. But the open hood is kind of blatant that this thing isn't your run of the mill, stock VW.

I agree, a nice white hood scoop would fit in well and yet cover that obvious charger. otherwise everyone would cringe in fear once they saw it. Although i am sure the exhaust note is fairly pronounced as well.

The open hood helps keep the log style manifold cool. What? You going to put a firebird style shaker hood on it? When you have car that pushes that kind of power, you have to do whatever it takes to keep it working.

My first love

The FMP white Corrado looks like crap and the red on look like s***!

This is how 700hp [640whp] is done ( nice and clean )

I rode in this car back in 99 -
we were pulled over (by the police) on the highway - for doing 154mph in a 55mph zone.
