Yes i have searched (help)

I dont really understand when they say remove sides to reveal holes.
I removed the whole cover (silver and fake carbon fiber) but it is being held in by the heat controls.how do i remove the heat controls or is there some way to just remove that fake carbon fiber stuff

So if anyone has tips please help me out

thanks

I can get you some pics later tonight.

Removal of the side peices refers to the 1/2" wide peices of plastic that are on the front of the radio. They are the height of the radio and hide the removal tool holes on the face of the radio. look at the unit for a short time and you should be able to pic them out. They are just on with pressure clips and can be pulled off by a thin flat blade screw driver. Put duct tape over the screw driver blade so it can't scratch the dash. Then just easily pry of the covers.

Ahh lol
I just went out and realized what you had to take off.
Thanks alot i was lost i wsa thinking it was the carbn fiber pieces

thanks for the help

Hmm, don't know where my panels went, but here's a shot of my deck with them removed. if you look at yours you should be able to see the difference. it's nothing fancy, just sorta lightly pull them up. THis will reveal the holes you need to get to

oops, snuck in onme while I was fumbling with my camera.. *L* get it out alright? I also recommend popping out the cass/minidisc cover to help pull it out it'll give you a good edge to pull on.
