I was in the city Saturday night, took these from the roof of the Port Authority parking garage. Thought they were pretty cool.

Pics are only 100K (400x600), so it's 56K friendly.

First one is W 42nd st, looking east

Second one is 8th ave, looking north

Leave the shutter open for a long time - increase the exposure time

Justin, nice, man - camera, settings?

When did I ever say that? I love driving in the city. It's the only time you can weave in and out of traffic and drive like an asshole and get away with it.

those are ******* amazing...when I was in NY, i only had a crappy disposable, and none of my pics turned out very well, and none of the night shots turned out...but the atmosphere at night there was amazing, I plan on going back whenever I can...I was contemplatin New Years there with friends...we were gonna do what I did when I was there in May, stay in Jersey, East Rutherford is close to where we stayed, perfect, cause then we just cought the bus to the terminal in NY, and then just walked ALOT, and bussed around and stuff....great times...and amazing pics catching the atmosphere very well..nice work....I could smell it and hear it when I saw those

Those are the only two I have. I have like 3 or 4 more of pretty much the same shots, obviously the light trails are different. Those are the best 2, other ones weren't exposed as well. Nighttime exposures can get tricky sometimes.

No tripod, just braced the camera against the railling. :)
