^ur not making sense..
pontiac and chevi are diffrent
but mazda is mazda everywhere
u cant compare the 323-familia-protege to camaro-firebird
actually up until the late 90s the trans-am and camaro were 100% interchangable, except for the body.....kinda similar to the j-spec vs us-spec.....

ive seen a 323 protege one in the Philippines when i visited there a year ago..its for the 3rd gen protege here..ill see if i can email my protege buddies there and if its available there...they normally have the one from a 2ndgen familia (small one) or a 322..but they are small it goes on the end part of the trunk...not the ones on top like the 3rd gens...

mine are black...

yes my badges are black... but this is the australian badge...

also available in astina flavour for the hatchback

yes, i might use it.. (right now i'm working on a new layout for my site with search engine, gzip compression, a poll etc...)

btw@ dsmconvert... ich hab schon ueberall gewohnt, bayern, hessen , nordrhein-westfalen, wohne seit 4 jahren in bielefeld 8)

yes there are locating pins, and a fridge magnet could cover these, as could your hand, or a toupe....

then again if you want to put a badge across it that will work too.... the locating holes are about 5cm apart (2 inches for people not up with modern day decimal mesurements)

How does one remove the protege badge and refit the familia one....I looked at it briefly the other night and it looks like two pins with a plastic thing that holds it in place...

well try taking it off you will work it out very quickly!!!

new badges should have double sided tape stuff....
the new badges will match the previous holes...

the badges have some matching thingos you pull them off the pins and these allow the badge to clip into place... but the dbl sided tape does teh best work

if you want some good info on removing the badges, your better off refering to the removing side moulding thread, as this will show you how to remove the gunky crap

You're too young to remember this (I'm too young to have remembered either, but old enough to have owned a very used '78 with a Pontiac 400) but back in the late 60's and up until the 80's, Pontiac had its own engines that were different than the Chevy engines. They wouldn't fit the motor mounts or bolt up to the transmission of the other.

Hey guys just got my 323F badge, and it looks sweet!

323F is the euro spec protege 5, Familia is the JDM and so is "atenza" i think thats how u spell it. 323 is for the regular protege sedan not hatch.

I got the Badge from a fellow protege5.com memeber, "TStar" it was shipped from Germany, and think i paid around $13.00 US, but it was worth it! i get people asking me now " what the hell model my P5 is, i tell them its the European model hehehehehe!

thanks for the positive feedback guys!
