Wow. I guess I'll quit being bummed about my insurance going up because of my wife's accident. I'm paying $245/month with the MSP & Nissan Xterra on full coverage and the Nissan NX on liability.

544 a month?! Good god, how many totalled cars do you have on your record?

I went through geico, and I pay 160/mo full coverage. The deductable is like 500, but s*** i save almost that much every month over what you would pay.
When I got it, there were a bunch of things they asked about that can lower your rates. When I talked to them, they said rates is based on # of cylinders, not turbo or HP or anything, so it is pretty much the same rate as regular protege. Also, any security features(alarm, etc.) lower the cost, and if you have taken defensive driving that will help too.

If you only got one quote how do you know that's the cheapest? In your situation other companies may very well be much cheaper.

cause the people at allstate are really close friends and she gave me a discount in that price.. it is just louisiana, no offence to the black race, but down here if you hit a black person you are screwed, even if it is a fenderbender MOST will act hurt and sue.. i have seen it happen so much.. and thats why it is sooo high..

no dude, i have a CLEAN RECORD!!!!!!!! for my 1.6l protege auto lx i is 256 a month full coverage, a speed double would double my insurance!!!! i make 1140 a month as a auto tech.. that would be about 700 to 800 a month to have a msp...

The reason why is because you're only 18. I'm 23, and live in Las Vegas--the highest insurance rated city in the country. I pay 1500 every 6 months.
