Yuppers as the title sais. Took me procrastinating so long to get my lip fixed and the bumper repainted. But finally got it done last week. I decided that I needed to protect my bumper from scratches from the lip, so I went to home depot and bought weather stripping tape that's supposedly goes around metal pipes. The lip is almost a perfect fit with the tape all around it. The tape is very spongy, but I think it looks good. Then I monkey'd around with plexiglass (since I make clear computer cases) and made wind splitters, and took some paint and got that. Next time when I have a longer piece left over I'll make a splitter all the way across.
Oh before anyone sais I should get rims and lower my car. Yes I will do those eventually. Basically comes down to having a reason to do it. One being is that my stock tires are 3-4 months away from having little tread left, so by X-mas I'll have an excuse to get new tires, which means new rims with those tires (rockon). Second thing is that if I lowered my car, I wouldn't be able to get up my driveway with the lip on.
So yea or nea on them splitters? I think they look good to me, even though I know it so nonfunctional.
Last thing I have an extra MP5 bumper laying around, and I'm starting to get better at fiberglass, I may tackle making my own fog light covers. Also I'm going to monkey around with that extra bumper, and fill in the side markers, and ghetto an inlet for the CAI in the wheel well. Going to steal some ideas from the Buddyclub2 bumper as well.
