Crossmember replacement

Does anyone know if there is a replacement crossmember out there? My midpipe is hitting it and I wonder if there is one out there that might go a little lower. I got the kartboy exhaust hangers and just ordered the AWR mounts but if that doesn't work, I want to see if there are any other options.

you could try the GT SPEC brace, but it sounds like you just need to modify the midpipe a bit.

I was reading some more posts and someone mentioned to add some washers. I guess that could lower the crossmember a bit but how much could I go without it breaking or losing stability. I think need about another half inch of room.

If anything, I would need to bend the downpipe up a little more. That's actually the reason why the midpipe comes so low. The Kartboy hangers keep the back half of the midpipe high but the downpipe pulls the midpipe down toward the crossmember.

I was looking at some pics of the GT Spec stuff at Corksport and noticed that there seems to be a difference with the cross member design for the 2002 ES and Mazdaspeeds. I attached a pic. I put mine on the right. I know it's not the greatest pic but I did highlight the crossmembers. It seems the MSP has the curve in the front part of the crossmember and my ES has it in the back. I remember reading somewhere that getting to the oil filter is harder with the later model msp or es than the 2002 because of the redesign in the crossmember and now I can see why. Does anyone know if the msp crossmember would fit on a 02 ES? My midpipe should not hit it since it curves away from the front.
