2016 CX-9 AC Leak (suspecting upper suction line)

Because of the environmental laws with regards to refrigerant where I live, I would not be allowed to work on it myself and refill it. So even if I did the work myself, I would still have to bring it to a shop to get it refilled after, and I don't even know if they would accept my repair at face...

2016 CX-9 AC Leak (suspecting upper suction line)

You can find the service manual here to see the official procedure https://mazdas247.com/forum/posts/6797452/ Note that this manual is for the Australian version. There might be a difference in the procedure because the TSB identified a difference between version with transmission cooler and...

    Cracked Cylinder Head (2018 CX-9)

That specific one has acknowledged things in the past to me and has been fairly honest, but he also clearly isn’t fully up to speed on the TSB, but he would know if clients came to have engine replacement all the times. I don’t want to dismiss the other tech comment either though. It may happen...

    Cracked Cylinder Head (2018 CX-9)

Interestingly, my service rep at my local dealer was not really aware of this problem happening on the turbo’s. For him the CX-5 NA cracks were known, but not really the CX-9s. The jury is still out on how common this is. It obviously happens, because there are frequent new member on this thread...

2016 CX-9 AC Leak (suspecting upper suction line)

Dealer quoted about 900$ CAD for the repair. I am sure you can get it done for cheaper, but you do have to remove the front bumper to do the work i think.

2016 CX-9 AC Leak (suspecting upper suction line)

I didn’t check to be honest. The compressor was making a very small noise and then stopped. And a few days later it got warm enough for me to test if the AC was working and i wouldn’t get any cold air. I am in Canada, so it could have been like that since last October and i wouldn’t have...

2016 CX-9 AC Leak (suspecting upper suction line)

Check your condenser as per this TSB: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10225777-0001.pdf My 2018 just suffered from this condenser leak and will be going in the shop next week to get the condenser replaced.

Bought a CPO Mazda CX-9 and vibration at highway speeds

With a used car, it could be bad wear on the tire, but others have also had issues with the CV shaft. Thread '2021.5 CX-9 Vibration at Highway Speeds' https://mazdas247.com/forum/t/2021-5-cx-9-vibration-at-highway-speeds.123876001/

Now with the CX-70 "revealed", what is everyone buying?

My wife is driving a 2010 mazda 3 that is still going strong. The CX-70 was supposed to replace it. Now we are not so sure. Definitely won’t be keeping it around for another then years though, here with the road salt, the rust will get to it before that.

    Mazda Turbo reliability?

Not sure how common it is, i own a CX-9 so don’t follow the CX-5 that much. You are asking the question in the wrong section though, this is the CX-50 section. If you go and post your question in the CX-5 section you might get more visibility on it. My personal opinion. The VIN range from the...

Now with the CX-70 "revealed", what is everyone buying?

I really like the Volvo's, but reliability has been holding me back on getting one. I have heard from various source they spend a lot of time at the garage. For all those considering a new X5, I am curious to know why the Porsche Macan's are not making it on your list. Is it only because of...

Now with the CX-70 "revealed", what is everyone buying?

Nice find ! Leasing a used car…. I never even considered this as an option. Nothing bad with 2 year old cars, most of my rides have been 2 year olds used car. A lot of time there is even less issue with them because all the early issues come up in the first year of ownership.

    Mazda Turbo reliability?

This is a different issue than the oil burning issue. For the oil burning issue for 2021 specifically , refer to the Vins number it this link: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2023/MC-10230891-0001.pdf

Now with the CX-70 "revealed", what is everyone buying?

The CX-90 wins on the efficiency for sure. Pretty sure the air suspension is only on the type S. Just to confirm, for the backseat space. Have you compared it with the CX-90 and the roofline was lower, or is it just too low to fit for your need ? Just trying to see if this is a con compared...

Now with the CX-70 "revealed", what is everyone buying?

What was the other car ? Because according to these reviews MDX and CX-90 are neck and neck in terms of space. But the MDX has the trick 2nd row bench seat that can be removed to become captain chairs. https://youtu.be/MGweINE_jTw?si=tDoGe27_3o-k1SSM I have a CX-9, which I consider to be on...
