will this fit on my p5???

Oooh, ouch.; not pretty. I'm not sure about using duct tape, but, I would suggest with something large that you not only tie the mattress onto the racks (or through the doors onto the roof) but, also fore and aft (i.e., tie the front of the mattress down to the nose of the car and the back to...

91 Protege ECU + with $7000 what would you do

Oh, love the car, looks just like mine, assuming it has way more "go" though. Was the GT only in Canada? My Pro is a 92 and I don't remember there being anything other than LX and DX offered that year, at least in the US. .

91 Protege ECU + with $7000 what would you do

You and I went through just about the same list of cars. I haven't driven the Matrix yet -- glad to hear what you thought of it. After shopping and research, I ended up focusing on the Protege5. Its a little bigger than the 3 and a lot easier on the pocketbook than anything else that is...

will this fit on my p5???

LOL... I moved a full sized couch on my little black Protege. It was a 70ies bright orange monstrosity, tied down with hot pink rope -- got some great looks from people. Pretty funny.

LOL. Thanks pb4ugoout, yah, that's it. I'm jealous... I'm looking for YOUR car. ;) .

91 Protege ECU + with $7000 what would you do

Yah, yours sounds a lot like mine. My rotors are pretty shot and I've had them machined before, so I'd need new ones, almost no question. I don't have much rust other than the exhaust (which is eaten through like a bastard) -- even though I drove the car in a very snowy and salt-heavy area (WNY)...

91 Protege ECU + with $7000 what would you do

I'm in a similar situation. I have a 92 Pro and it needs a bunch of work. It's engine is still solid and strong, and its pretty low-miles for its age (130k), but, it needs new exhaust, at least one cv joint, new rotors, new tires, etc., etc. Its just not "worth" sinking the money into...

    Internal bike rack???

Pix would be really great, thanks for going through all the hassle! I would really like to try your method. Nicer to have the bikes IN the car; can't trust people these days sadly.

    Buying a used P5 - advice?

more on odo Sorry to bring this forward again, but, I'm still curious... Could I just call Mazda and buy a new odometer, pop it in and viola, I have a 0 miles car again? Or is it more complex than that? Maybe milage is actually stored in a chip? (Though then maybe skip the odo and reprogram...

    Buying a used P5 - advice?

Ooooh, that's sneaky. Could I just order a brand new one from Mazda, or isn't it that easy?

    Buying a used P5 - advice?

AAAAhhhhhh... a very kind soul (thank you, thank you!) did a CarFax on it for me. It looks to me like it COULD be a rollback situation. It was last recorded at 9,814 miles almost a year ago (05/27/2004), and the dealer says he got it 2 months ago with 8k miles on it and has put 2k miles on it...

    Buying a used P5 - advice?

Versatile is better than just "fast" Maybe, if speed was the need. Then I'd buy a "real sportscar" (I guess). But... what I'M looking for is something that is FUN to drive (takes curves well, isn't stiff, decent acceleration), looks decent (unique without being freakish or overly trendy), and...

    Buying a used P5 - advice?

Ah, cool, I'd rather back-mount the bikes anyway, and if the factory racks can accomodate the ski rack and deal with a boat or two, that'll work. Thanks, great info!

Hi, Lisakay, thanks for the hello. I'm in Greenbelt... not exactly the cultural mecca of MD, but, I'm walking distance to work. :) You're from NoVA?
