You can go in and reset the light. I don't go by the light. Track it myself. They probably set it for
3,000 miles so it's giving you advance warning. You're good for 5,000, maybe even 7,500 depending on how you drive. Just make sure it gets changed once a year at least.
2016 with the original battery - must be a record.
99% sure your problems are the battery.
Go buy one, make sure you can return if it doesn't fix the problem.
And yes, bad battery can cause all kinds of dash problems.

Did the car start OK after you removed the battery for 1 hour?
What year is vehicle, how old is battery, etc.
It's helps diagnosis if this info is offered.

I think there was a TSB for the problem but probably won't help you since you're out of warranty.
For 2016 CX-5, the major issue is the rear disk brake calipers with EPB.
Have owned a 16 Touring since Apr 2015 and have not had any problems with the rear calipers.
Look in one of the infotainment screens. There's a setting somewhere for volume. I had the same problem with Nav and I found a setting that controlled the volume. Probably one similar or same for external music sources.
Also try the volume knob on the center console.
Did you get service records?
Is it AWD? If so rear diff fluid, transfer case fluid.
I haven't seen any problems on this forum related to water pumps or thermostats and I've been here close to 10 years. It doesn't seem to be a Mazda problem.
If the hoses are in good shape I wouldn't replace...

I have a 16 Touring (no sensors in the wheels) as well as a 19 GTR which I believe does have the sensors in each wheel although it still doesn't tell you which one is low.
