rep i called a mazda rep and they said they'll follow up with the dealer to see why it needed to be replaced. but aside from that it doesn't seem to have set anything in motion :/

oh really? well, it was my mom who brought it in and the engine light was on. and i guess they kind of cheated her out of it... do you think this is something i can talk to Mazda corporate about? how i'm barely out of the 36k warranty? i talked to someone who did this and mazda footed the bill...

My CX-7 has about 35k miles on it. The engine light came on and the dealer said the EGR valve needs to be replaced. It cost $900. Has anyone else had a problem with their EGR valve? (or how it gets damaged?) I took a look at the replaced part and it looks fine to me.

Is the dash supposed to display A/C information?

8000 miles and CEL...I wonder what it is, bringing it in tomorrow to get it fixed...

actually, i think my dealer was able to reproduce the noise. however, because the service bulletin said it was for AWD only, they ended up having to call mazda technical support and i think they said they couldn't do anything about it.

that makes sense to me, thanks for the info. BTW, they ended up not being able to do anything about the metal clunking noise (there's a service bulletin for this for AWD) on my FWD. Has anyone brought in their CX-7 (FWD) to fix this clunking noise?

I've had a very good experience with oak tree as well. My only gripe is that instead of them calling me about when parts arrive, I have to call back to check. But the guy in charge of service knows his stuff and seems responsible.
