    Do they make aftermarket units like this that do not require soldering and are purely plug and play? I am just worried about voiding warranties by cutting and soldering wires.

    Did they charge you $47 to install a whole new GPS/radio head unit or are you talking about something else? if so what navigation module did you buy? It looks very easy to change myself but i do not want to void any warranties.

    yeah i know that and from the pics ive seen it looks like the outline for 8" speaker is already there. its just a matter cutting it out. but as far as power goes, could i run a decent 8" just from the HU?

    i just boguht a '12 cx-9 non-bose stereo and i want to upgrade the speakers. i was thinking of putting 8" speakers in the front doors and sticking with the 6x8s in the rear. i plan on just using the stock HU, no amp and was wondering if the HU would be enough for 8" speakers up front?

    i dont mean to high jack the thread but i just purchased a 2012 cx-9 with the standard stero. how do i access the front corner speakers in the dash?
