    Recharging A/C

Well I went ahead and did it.....and wow!!! It works great now. The car is completely cold in about 10-15 minutes, not just blowing cold after 20 minutes. It is blowing cold air only a couple minutes after I start it up. The current temp here is 88 and with the heat index it feels like 94...

    Recharging A/C

My A/C seems to take a long time to cool down and was wondering if one of those DIY kits would fix my problem. I don't think I have a leak, because it does blow cold, but it takes about 20 minutes of driving before it happens. At the local K-Mart they have 14oz cans of EZChill for $13 and it...

how to set gains corectly with a volt meter.....

Come on you guys have google.....don't ya?!?! Here is where I got mine and they work great. Each tone is 10 seconds long, so just use repeat. This guy has everything from 10hz-1000hz, he also has a couple of sweeps. You can get the individual tones or grab them all in one convient zip file. I...

Anyone that has replaced their wheel bearing please read

I really didn't think there was a way to grease them. When I asked him how, his response "pull it apart, put some bearing grease in, and put it back together". I don't know a alot about cars, just enough to make me dangerous. So its the little details that can get me some times. If I had...

Anyone that has replaced their wheel bearing please read

Well I'm just about finished doing both of the front bearings. Both bearings were definetly bad at 47k miles :(. Some things to keep in mind if your doing yours. Buy new snap rings!!! Your supposed to be able to push the spindle out, but one half of the bearing will most likely stay on the...

how to set gains corectly with a volt meter.....

I'm only using a single sub DVC and I already measures the impedence at 4.05, so I just adjusted the numbers. I'm using an Alpine HU and never turn it up past 29(35). So it should be a decent way to start out, correct?

how to set gains corectly with a volt meter.....

When you say find out the wattage of your amp, you are reffering to RMS not max power, correct?? I defineltly think that is a great starting point for tuning your system. JLAudio has a little movie on their website showing exactly how to do what you described. So that method can't be that...

    Barring question!

I was well under my mileage. I had the car for 1 year and only about 13k miles and I was denied. They said it failed becuase of an "act of god" so it wasn't covered.

    Barring question!

Check if the dealer will cover the brake work under warranty first. I had a seized caliper due to the winter road salt here in NY. Dealer wouldn't cover it and I was charged $25 for them to inspect it just to tell me it wasn't covered.

Cheap Mazda parts and great service

I'm sure everyone has heard of www.mazdastuff.com but I just wanted to give a thumbs up to them for everyone to see. I recently ordered all the parts, for my '02 Protege5, to do both of my wheel bearings. The total came to $95 with shipping (wheel bearings, oils seals and hub nuts). That was...

    Protecting your stereo...

I really haven't had a chance to really check the range. At home it sucks. I live in an old house and the walls are made out of sheet rock. Your right a screwdriver in the wrong hands could ruin my day. But I think the way I have things setup, the only way they'll be able to get in the car...
