Get the ATR and up the idle speed to 800 rpms instead of the 650 rpms from stock and the car will stop smoking (worked for me )

so how come no one believed me when i said the noise is from the strut bearing...if you are hearing the noise (popping) its the strut bearing have them replaced..

i know you said that you looked at the rsb but did you tighten it. i've had mine loosen up and it sounds like the jack is loose (metal hitting metal). Just check the nuts to see if they are tight its probably that.

could be the strut bearing, had a similiar problem when turning the wheel ( like into driveways and parking lots) changed it and the noise is gone.

i'll have to look for the part number and i think i've seen a write up somewhere just got to find them..

The noise was coming from the front passenger side, i had to buy the part dealership would not fixed it because i'm lowered ( the part was only like $20 cdn, so you US guys it would be even cheaper). A buddy and I changed the strut bearing and took about an hour to replace and the noise is...
