    Spring compressor question?

aMaff is right there are two types, and the one you need is the strut spring compressor. The hooks are different between the two. Yea its great to own a pair but they can be rented for free at Autozone. (Obviously with a deposit).

    Help wanted

Thanks 5padzam She's a 350 Edlebrock 4bbl dual flows. Sadly she's only good for low 15s high 14's and 10mpg. Which is why I need my p5 back on the road. I'd love to put in a set of gauges but I really cant afford the water pump as it is. So even if I verify that it is overheating then I'll have...

    Spring noise in the front

I installed a set of these on my old Focus. Actually with the spring rate they had it drove like it was on rails, bumpy rails, but rails none the least. The sound I would hear was only at low speeds like turning into parking stalls etc.. really nothing to worry about unless your hearing it...

Both hoses roughly the same temp, no boiling of the coolant, plenty there. Last night Autozone tested the temp sensor and it tested good so it sounds like I'll be driving the Chevelle again this week. Keep it comming folks!(dunno)

    Spring noise in the front

Yea, sadly those are pretty much a universal piece. The spring rate might be correct but they're not specific. I'm not sure if Megan makes springs for the Protege. But if so they're good quality and very inexpensive (right around 100.00) and usually around a 2" drop all around. See if you can...

To those of you that bashed this guy, would you talk to your mothers/sisters/wives/children that way when asked am I old/fat/ugly/stupid? Hell no you wouldn't. Half of you probably have pictures on the fridge right now that you wouldn't dare speak of that way. Mazda/Protege/forum family my a$$...

    Replacing compressor?

Also before you do any thing you can get a pressure reading off of the ac port to verify the pressure is correct. (I'm not sure what pressure our cars require so some research would be involved) I suspect its just low on refrigerent possibly a leak. usually at a fiting. look for a build up of...

    Replacing compressor?

For the do it your selfers, you need to have the system evacuated by said shop. Then you can simply unbolt the comressor and lines and replace with new/rebuilt/salvaged parts then have the shop draw a vacuum on the system at which time you can add refrigerant. However it should be noted that...
