    Mazda History in the Attic

Neat poster! I wonder how they decided on the relative sizes of all the car. There are a few missing, like the B-series trucks and the 1st- and 2nd-gen MPV. Nice to see the MX-6 so prominently featured!

New Mazda5 owner! Couldn't be happier!

Quick update: I'd been getting a code 2401 (evap system) for a while, but the car drove normally. I replaced the gas cap, but the code persisted. After doing some research, I decided to replace the evap pump. I picked one up from a local u-pull-it junkyard for $15, and replaced it in about...

    "Nori" ('94 Brilliant Black MX-6 V6 5-Speed) Restoration

Thanks for the enthusiasm! I actually changed my mind and decided to bring the build/resto log "in house" at my (somewhat lapsed) car blog site: http://www.spannerhead.com/category/nori-mazda-mx6-restoration/ I'll continue to use the forums here, and I appreciate the vote of support!

New Mazda5 owner! Couldn't be happier!

Hey guys, still have the 5 (almost 7 years now). 75K on the odo now. Still drives great, although I've been getting a P2402 code, so I'm planning on checking/replacing the evap pump tomorrow. There are a couple of 5s in the local u-pull-it junkyard, so I'll hopefully be able to snag a...

    "Nori" ('94 Brilliant Black MX-6 V6 5-Speed) Restoration

So, I'm thinking about moving my restoration thread from mx6.com over here to Mazdas247, since the forum layout is less cluttered with ads, and the posts load all the images right away without having to be "expanded" by visitors. Look for this thread to backfill over the next few days, and...

    Mazda MX-3 All Motor Build

That looks AWESOME. Love the coil-on-plug conversion in particular. I'm on my 2nd 2G MX-6 at the moment and would love to get rid of the KL's flaky distributor. And yeah, I do all my question asking on the FB MX-6 group, but I hate FB for build/resto logs, hence my search for a forum (and one...

    Mazda MX-3 All Motor Build

Hey man, love your build! Your attention to detail and commitment to doing it RIGHT is really impressive. In your first post, you mentioned you moved over here from Probetalk; I'm thinking about doing the same from mx6.com. Thanks for showing me that it can be done!

New Mazda5 owner! Couldn't be happier!

Cleared the code, and it hasn't returned... I guess it was just a phantom code. Thank you! We plan to! Sadly not. That would be a lot of fun! I'm a diehard 3-pedal enthusiast, but my wife can't drive stick, so we opted for an auto. It's not a bad one, as far as they go...

New Mazda5 owner! Couldn't be happier!

Just did! 52K does seem a little early for the O2 sensor(s) to be going out... Will keep an eye on it. Thanks!

First check engine light yesterday! Just over 52K in. P0139. Looks like I may be replacing an O2 sensor...

New Mazda5 owner! Couldn't be happier!

Just checking again! Almost 46K on the odometer and she runs great. Just completed her 7th oil change last weekend. We've acquired a roof pod/carrier that basically doubles the cargo carrying capacity of the car for road trips. Load it up and it's almost like we're not taking a trip at all...

    Favorite Feature: Cool inside!

Yes it's basically one-knob climate control adjustment. Just set the temp and let the system do the rest...

    Favorite Feature: Cool inside!

Completely agree with this! I love how it doesn't automatically default to the full-blast fan setting even when it has a lot of cooling to do, but just gradually ramps it up. I set it at 68 and forget it.

New Mazda5 owner! Couldn't be happier!

It's been about 14 months of ownership and we still love our 5. We've put 11K on it, including a few 300+ mile road trips, and she hasn't missed a beat. We're now up to 35K on the odo. I wash and clean her regularly and she gets fresh Motorcraft 5W-20 semi-syn every 3-5K. Drives tight; no...
