Hey I sold my P5 to my sister a a while ago (dont worry I still have a mazda tribute) it has a Greddy shift knob but she complains it gets to hot in summer and cold in winter so wants something else. Can anyone recommend a $30 or so shift knob cylinder shaped preferred.

I dont think this would effect the throwout bearing it wouldnt make much sense...

Ya agreed, I think i may try to take it apart this weekend and lube/clean it up but just seeing if anyone had a similar problem.

its an 02.5 with right at 90k miles (picked up with 40 in 04). I have never changed the tranny fluid, but would that really be relavent, because as i said it can be in nuetral and just moving it side to side in the gear box you can notice how stiff it is.

how much lower can you go? did you roll out your rear fenders more? I have the same setup and know my rear tire can rub at times. Also louisville is in KY no?

But this recently started to happen, as mentioned I have had the shifter installed for years and it just started a few months ago. Somthing had to change?

finished it today, took more then a week to get the replacement overflow resevoir. And even then since its not oem it doesnt have a hole on the side (hard to explain) but basically since i have my CAI i had to jimmy rig some zip ties and put a bolt through the resevoir. anways. Whats wierd in...

thanks probin 94, ya i didnt know the t-stat was so easily assessble on these cars, i will do that as it looks super easy. the link to the manual is not valid anymore it seems, i remember using that quite a few times back in the day. :( thanks guys
