I always apply some silicon grease to my battery posts or the inside of the clamps before I attach them. I've never had any problem because as tight as the connections are they displace enough grease to make good connections.
The replacement of the plugs in the book is a recommendation only. The more mileage on them widens the gap making it harder to jump and placing a small strain on the electronics.
You will have to reset your radio stations but nothing else. I have a tool for this job and did mine not long ago. Put some grease on the negative terminal before you connect the terminal and you won't have this problem again. Silicone grease if you have it.
Others on here have discovered that the timing cover weeps oil because the material used for a gasket is like RTV and wasn't let to set up before assembly. I have the same problem and was told the charge to fix would be @ $2100.00. Personally I'm keeping an eye on the oil and haven't seen any on...
I don't know if this applies in your experience but I had a coupon for full synthetic oil change for 30 bucks. Turned out to be 38 but still not bad. However they inspected the car and found and found 5k worth of work to be done.I was a mechanic in an American Motors garage and dealerships...
My local dealer sent me a coupon for a thirty dollar oil change with a 56 point inspection. Of course he found 5k worth of work I needed done. I couldn't get over the fact they charge 43 dollars for one spark plug. The trouble with dealerships is the overhead they have to pay for.
I sat in line for gas 4 to 5 cars from the pump at @ 95 degrees. The ac started blowing warm before I got to the pump. I put the windows down as I was sweating when I arrived at the pump. Switched the car off and pumped gas while thinking now I have to get the AC fixed. When I fired the car up...
his is how it reads in the multipoint inspection: engine cracked below exhaust manifold leaking oil excessively- engine cost $9k alone!!
Well the manifold connects to the engine head and there's a little of the head showing before the block so It looks like the head and not the block is cracked !
If you have a multimeter check battery voltage at rest then start the car and see what the difference is. With engine running it should read a little higher than 12 volts. The regulator built in the alternator may be failing.
Seat comfort is entirely an opinion. Everyone is different. Personally my butt is too big to get realy comfortable as the bolsters intrude on me. However I've been on long trips and have done ok. Everything else about the car overrides the seat comfort for me.
