I have the same problem with my MS3. It starts around -15 degrees C and the colder it is, the louder it gets. Yesterday it was -24 C here and the car sounded terrible. My old MP3 was the same, except the creaking started at around 0 C.

umm... actually car and driver said that mazda would like to be known as the bmw of japan, which was more of a comment by car and driver (commenting on the car) and not a claim by mazda.

that was a common occurance on my first faceplate. Since then, the graphic display became distorted. I had it replaced and that faceplate's graphics screwed up as well. I am now on my third faceplate. (Thankfully all under warrenty.)

I did reserve mine about 2 months before it came in. There was some interest in it, but nobody else was serious. It is kinda nice being unique though. The mazdaspeed here sat on the lot for about a month before selling. It was kinda funny because others on the site were still waiting for...

I spotted an MP3 today in Saskatoon at the Ramada hotel. I couldn't quite see the plate, but I think it was from out of province. Kinda wierd seeing one since I have the only one in Saskatoon. Anybody visiting?:D

I have always used premium (91 octane) except when visiting in-laws (their town has 87 octane only). We pay $0.939/L for premium.

I have owned mine since new and I didn't get the "clunk" until about 20,000 kms (approx year and a half). They recently replaced the bushings and so far so good. We probably get the coldest weather as well -34 C the other day (-50 C with windchill).

I am on my third faceplate on my z828. The first two, the graphics on the display screwed up. Funny thing was it was only the graphics and not the font both times. I haven't been too upset about it as Mazda keeps replacing them under warranty.

-30 C here today and it has been all week. The MSP in our town just sold and I see he/she is still on racing harts. I'll probably wait till mid-April to be safe though.

i definately agree with you freekwonder. KMFDM is my all time favorite. I also like PIG as well. I figured you must be a fan with "waste" lyrics in your sig.

I have been lucky, but I am paranoid. When I am not parked in the garage, my faceplate is removed, and my trunk access and rear seats are locked out. Not much can be done about vandalism though. Does anybody think the security code for the z828 is a deterrent, or can this be bypassed?
