    F these headlights...seriuosly

Anyone know how to easily remove the winshield washer reservoir? Or is it possible to detach *just* the top tube of that windshield washer reservoir (i.e., the filler tube)?

    sylvania headlights burning out!!!

Just ordered some yesterday, so maybe you'll hear back from me in 6 mos or so. Went through so many Sylvania bulbs in the last 3 years it's not even funny. Hope the luminics are better. Although I called 'em and the 1 yr. warranty thing is over. They have a 90 day warranty.

Why? You can't get 'em replaced, can you?

    wiring problem (headlights)?

Really? Man, I never thought of the connectors. Where did you get the female connectors that you used? did you solder 'em on there? Use wire nuts? Did you keep the plastic intermediate piece that the bulb plugs into also? Thanks.

    MP5 Hungry for headlights?

I can't believe all the responses saying the SilverStars are fine and that they've had no problems. My roommate and I both have 2002 Protege5s and they eat headlights for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is definitely a flaw in the electrical system's design. I just haven't figured out...

How To: Install Amp Wiring Kit

When you install amps, do you run another power cable from amp ground to the car battery's negative terminal? So far, I've been grounding to the chassis, sanding away a part of it and using a self-drilling metal screw. I've checked with a voltmeter and my ground seems good. But I still get...

How To: Install Amp Wiring Kit

You are rad. Thanks so much for the picture. I hadn't even thought of that because I wanted a "clean" install. So let's say you were running those speaker wires (or an 8 gauge power cable down the driver's side) to an amp underneath the front seat. Would you just slit the carpet with a...

How To: Install Amp Wiring Kit

Anyone know how to pull the carpet up from under those white plastic wire clips that sit underneath the plastic floorboard runner? I'm talking about the bottom of the door jam. How do you get those white plastic things out? '02 Protege5

    Project QUIET

Wish the link still worked. I'm trying to figure out how to pull all the carpet up from around the front/center dash area to run RCA cables to my amps. ryan '02 P5

speaker question from an extreme novice

Wow, I'm about to install components in the front in a couple of days. I'd be interested to hear more about this. Should I mount 'em in the door? I was planning to cut my black plastic piece that's inside the mirrors and mount 'em in the same places that the '03 P5's have 'em. This is the...

Yeah, here's a link to 'em. Thanks for the tips.

    Amp with 2 ohm speakers

Cool. Yeah, I don't really care if I fry the thing anyway, but is there a safety issue? I mean, I know it'll run more current and get pretty hot, but will it start my seats on fire or some crap like that? I guess you already answered that though: protect mode.

    Amp with 2 ohm speakers

Is there any way to find out if an amp (Kenwood KAC-606 rated at 50W RMS X 2 at 4 ohms) can handle 2 ohm speakers? I'm going to put it under one of my front seats, but I just don't want to fry it. I haven't been able to find the owner's manual online at all.

    stock audio question

Wow, thanks for the info. I'll drill my current "inside the mirror" piece. About the size of component speakers: Strictly looking from an aspect of SQ, are the 6.5" better than the 6X8? If the answer is, "No, it's just that with 6X8 you have less selection," then I might just save myself the...
