Is it normal to have the atf looking black with a smell at 48500 km. Is this car safe to purchase and will a atf flush do the trick. Thanks

It has 48850 km and the ATF looks black and smells burnt. Is that normal?

I went to check out a 2007 M5 GT today with 48000km. It rode great, everything worked great. I popped the hood and checked out the ATF and it was black and smelled burnt. It also shifted alittle rough. Any Ideas? Their asking 13900. Also does anyone have access to carfax reports . They...

Now I found a 2006 M5 GT for 12988 with 60000km. I think I will go look at this weekend. Its manual and thats what I like. Anything I should be looking for when I take it out for a drive.

What do you guys think of the 2006 model, is there alot of problems? I heard about the squeaky struts problem. There's one for sale in my area for $11999 with 75000 km, also its manual. What do you guys think?
