As posted on the other major Mazda 3 forum, my motor mount bolt backed out, and failed, even after the dealer previously checked that the bolt was torqued to spec according to prior service records. The dealership is putting the car back to the same configuration as it was before the failure...

On the highway 94 by St. Paul from a 50mph punch he got on it in front of me in the right lane, and I easily passed him and put 4-5 cars on by 90mph. I think it was a 04-05 wrx. We then ran side by side and hit it on the 3rd honk from 60mph in 3rd.... pulled another 4 or so cars once again...

I picked up mine from Morries Mazda last thursday.. 1st one in MN I think. Black GT

damn thats too close to the break for my comfort with the 16" wheel!! any flex or movent in the wheel during cornering, and/or ice/snow build up, and your caliper is rubbing!

how much were your rims and where did u find them? they fit??

I'm looking to get the ASA J8 17x7.5 inch rim with a 215/50/17 snow tire... will it fit with the big brakes? What about the offset. The factory rims have a 52.5mm offset, so will the 50mm offset of these wheels work?

What size 17" wheels... backspacing... bolt pattern, width....cheap... would be good for snow tires?

I'm wondering about 17's for snow tires as well.... what size tire would be appropriate for a 17" rim on the ms3? My Black MS3 Gt is comming the 2nd week of November.

they have one here in silver at the Mall of America too. Saw it a week and a half ago there on display.

I'll post the pics when I pick it up... Scheduled to be here the 2nd week of November. Unfortunatly I'll have to put it through a winter right away! Its a touring model, Black on Black. The only additional options I have are the All season floor mats, and the Aluminum Gas Door.
