No they wont see the shift lag, it only accurs when you down shift into 1st then back into second and no I wasn't going ******* 30mph when I shifted into 1st, It was like 15-20 and It was on an incline thats why I downshifted. And I dont know what your p5's rev limiter kicks in at but I saw mine...

I've recently jacked up my engine cause of this.. I downshifted into 1st and it wouldn't allow me to shift back into 2nd fast enough and the lag caused my engine to redline until it bogged down ( either over rev or cause of the rev limiter) not sure but gotta take my s*** to the dealer now cause...

Thats what I was thinking.. I was going into the turn at like 35 breaked to about 15-20 as I was going around the corner then downshifted to 1st cuase it was a hill and it then wouldn't let me shift back into 2nd fast enough... so it tagged out until the rev limiter kicked in.

I need some advice... I have a 2003 MP5 with only 19k miles.. Well for some reason if I downshift into 1st at too high of an RPM the tranny will lag severly bad and wont allow me to shift into 2nd gear, this has happend to me many of times, it's usualy when im going around a corner or slowing...
