The Bimmer guys don't use them if they also have a lightweight flywheel...otherwise they do.

I just checked because i have the sub out of my car and it says 8 ohms on it.Do u think it would be ok to replace it with a 4 ohm JL woofer?

i dont think people are frying their subs in the MSP.I think that kenwood has a manufacturing problem with the leads on the sub that go directly to the voice coil.They are coming loose from the violent movement of the sub cone.IMHO ;)

my sub stopped working after 2 weeks,but i pulled the sub out and found that the wires on the sub that go from the terminal posts to the voice coil were loose.be careful if you take the sub out because they used blue loctite on the screws and they will strip out if you arent careful.

the led on the amp never goes out,but the sub will stop working randomly.i put a volt meter to the amp yesterday and it was putting out power while the sub wasn't playing.seems like a loose connection at the sub.am i on the right track?

My sub came back on today by itself after not working for a week.It still goes off and on.....maybe it has a loose connection inside the sub box.if it was fried it would stop altogether correct?

The sub in my MSP stopped working also...the amp must be too powerful for this little sub :)

Hi all, I am new to this board and i just got a black msp 10 days ago.I bought it to be my daily driver.I also have a 96 BMW M3 that is my hobby car.I am clueless when it comes to modding a turbo engine.I would like to get another 25-30hp out of the MSP to make it a bit more fun than it already...
