The fact that the torque and hp curves meet at 5252 doesnt mean jack s*** and doesn't give the manufacturer's claim any credibility. EVERY single dyno will have the HP and torque curves meet at exactly that RPM. It has nothing to do with the car itself, it's just how HP is calculated.

Still not entirely correct. Horsepower IS torque. All it means when you have a torquey car is that you have more horsepower down low than you would say if you were driving a honda. Horsepower doesn't "take over", it's always there.

Can you point out where I said that just because these rods were forged, that I thought they would somehow instill "supreme confidence" in the strength of the motor? I've seen the rods, and they are indeed quite thin, but that is irrelevant to the argument at hand. I'm not dumb enough to think...

Thank you for adding this info about the forged rods...I am starting to get really sick of people spreading these rumors around about the rods being cast.

"announced" by whom? the only people I've heard claiming this are saying it because they are comparing them to aftermarket forged rods and claiming that because they don't look similar, they aren't factory forged.

The rods and crank ARE forged from the factory. the most probable cause for the motor blowing is detonation caused by a lack of fuel (which can happen to even the most built motors). the lack of fuel could be caused by either a faulty fuel pump or a bad stock tune with our schizophrenic...

I think it might work sort of like this... Say you are spinning the tires like crazy at the very start of the track, and you aren't going anywhere. When you're tires do finally grab though (after heating up a bit from spinning, or whatever) you kind of lurch forward since your drivetrain...

Is that a joke? You said you spiked 25 psi, and were running a big turbo. I'm guessing it wasn't tuned properly either, since we don't yet have a good tuning solution.
