What did you pay for your CX-5?

Too bad you had to make that choice. The CX-5 has desperately needed more rear seat leg room (and more cargo space) since its inception in 2012. I had one of the first year models and, though I loved the car otherwise, put up with that situation for 6.5 years til I downsized to a Mazda 3 in...

    Is it my MAF Sensor?

I had to laugh when I read this. I had a '13 (sold it 6 years ago to downsize to a Mazda 3) that threw the same code right at about 50k miles. All the histrionics you describe with the dash lights and drivability problems is what' known as "limp home mode". It's the ECU's way of preventing...

What is fault code U053B (83-48)?

"Mazda fault code U053B means the Image Processing Module "A" is sending invalid data or there is a communication error with a vehicle module. The error comes from the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) and could be due to a malfunction of the FSC itself, the Body Control Module (BCM), or the...

2025 PP CX-5 Cylinder Deactivation Question

Mazda’s implementation of the stop/start system is among the best, if not THE best, of all manufacturers. You may have read that their system cleverly stops the engine at TDC and uses the spark to assist the restarting process, thereby reducing the load on the starting motor. That's pretty much...

    Looking to buy a 2024-2025 CX-5 2.5NA

"Only some 2024 models (any trim) with L vs M in the Vin. Due to shortages at that time. I think built from Oct 2023 till sometime early 2024." Isn't that what txt990 said?^^^

    Looking to buy a 2024-2025 CX-5 2.5NA

I believe some later models came w/o CDA because of a parts shortage. Nothing to do with cracked heads. You're safe buying one of them.

2025 PP CX-5 Cylinder Deactivation Question

You should not notice CDA in day-to-day driving. It's pretty damn seamless unless (maybe) you have a sixth sense about things mechanical. I didn't like the idea of my wife's '23 having it either, but I have to admit I never think about it in use.

    Windshield Replacement

Where do you live that an insurance company can dictate where repairs are made? I know they can't do that in Calif. I had my windshield replaced at the shop of my choice using OE glass and State Farm was glad to pay the bill.
