What is fault code U053B (83-48)?

"Mazda fault code U053B means the Image Processing Module "A" is sending invalid data or there is a communication error with a vehicle module. The error comes from the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) and could be due to a malfunction of the FSC itself, the Body Control Module (BCM), or the...

2025 PP CX-5 Cylinder Deactivation Question

Mazda’s implementation of the stop/start system is among the best, if not THE best, of all manufacturers. You may have read that their system cleverly stops the engine at TDC and uses the spark to assist the restarting process, thereby reducing the load on the starting motor. That's pretty much...

    Looking to buy a 2024-2025 CX-5 2.5NA

"Only some 2024 models (any trim) with L vs M in the Vin. Due to shortages at that time. I think built from Oct 2023 till sometime early 2024." Isn't that what txt990 said?^^^

    Looking to buy a 2024-2025 CX-5 2.5NA

I believe some later models came w/o CDA because of a parts shortage. Nothing to do with cracked heads. You're safe buying one of them.

2025 PP CX-5 Cylinder Deactivation Question

You should not notice CDA in day-to-day driving. It's pretty damn seamless unless (maybe) you have a sixth sense about things mechanical. I didn't like the idea of my wife's '23 having it either, but I have to admit I never think about it in use.

    Windshield Replacement

Where do you live that an insurance company can dictate where repairs are made? I know they can't do that in Calif. I had my windshield replaced at the shop of my choice using OE glass and State Farm was glad to pay the bill.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

They were commonly called "heat risers" and were commonly used on all manner of Detroit engines back in the day.

A Purist’s Perspective - One Day with the 2024 Mazda CX-5 Signature Turbo

Hardly the same as F/R curb weight distribution. Here's another AI-generated response to the question "What is the front to rear weight distribution of an AWD Mazda CX-5?" The AWD Mazda CX-5 has a front to rear weight distribution of approximately 56:44. This means that 56% of the vehicle's...

A Purist’s Perspective - One Day with the 2024 Mazda CX-5 Signature Turbo

I would question how AI came to that conclusion. I can't find anywhere else on the internet that makes that claim.

A Purist’s Perspective - One Day with the 2024 Mazda CX-5 Signature Turbo

Where did you ever get the idea that any CX-5 (turbo or otherwise) could possibly have 50/50 weight distribution!? If anything, the turbo model is even more front end heavy that the NA model due to the added weight of the turbo hardware. Remember, these are essentially FWD vehicles (like your 6)...
