My wife told me where to put the seat... and she's always right. ;-) I never argue with the boss. Seriously, I think anywhere you put the seat is better than letting your kid sleep in the rear window of your Impala sedan like I did when we were kids.

baby seat I have my toddlers Britax Marathon in the rear middle seat of my CX-9 using the latch connectors. Works great-- facing front or rear. Much more sturdy than my 4Runner.
