I tired of cleaning the EGR every year and just bought a new one. This one is currently dirty, stuck, and could use some TLC. $25 obo, i pay shipping.

gave up cleaning the EGR and bought a new one. Have the old one up for sale on the parts section if anyone wants to have a got at it

a little late, but yes, problem goes away 80% now, which is wayy better than nothing. Now noticing yet another f'in caliper is sticking and sure enough, problem slowly becoming more noticable on the hot days...no more junk yard calipers for me, going new this time...

So last week the rough idle started again and I had to clean the EGR (I've had to do it roughly once a year, or every 10k miles). This time though it was REALLY stuck open. I had to use pliers to force it closed even after letting it soak in Brake cleaner, then WD40, then some liquid wrench...

2nd Update... amonth later, and having driven in the worst of the summer heat, the difficulty shifting is just about non-existent any more!
