I can't seem to find anything on this, but does the alignment have to be done after the bearing is replaced?

Any $ estimate for your car? Any chance I can get this fixed for $200? Or should I just go and get the whole thing fixed and fork over the $500 for my deductible.

What is the deal with the air box inlet. It routes to the front right behind the grill but doesn't really get much air there. Is it just to keep the inlet away from the heat, or a bad attempt at ram air?

Does the bushing kit and short throw shifter improve or eliminate the notchy 1-2 shift?

Hey BadDSM. The grinding has happened to me too when downshifting from 5th to 4th. It's hard to shift into 2nd from 1st too.

In my opinion I believe it doesn't have anything to do with the gearing, it's the soft ass liquid filled motor mounts that rock around. Jetta owners solve this by replacing their motor mounts with hockey pucks!
