I was driving for about 20 mins on the freeway and when I exited I heard some weird sound coming from the engine bay and noticed that my temp gauge was shot up almost to the very top. I pulled over and checked it out the coolant was boiling like crazy ! I didn't see any leaks. Any clue what this...

I can get the tranny out the car but I've never actually taken a tranny apart and looked at the gears..

is this an easy installation?

Is the shift fork expensive to fix ? Or is it something easy enough to figure out myself ?

Yeah I heard something that it could be the shift fork? Something like that. Idk I'm pissed ! Back in the garage it goes :(

I put in the tranny myself. Thought I put on everything right and tight.. Yeah I'm planning on taking the tranny apart again to check it out. I bought it off another guy off craigslist... It's just weird how I can get into those gears with the car on or off and it still drives in first and third...

I recently replaced the tranny and I drove it a few days and now when I go start the car it's tough to get the car into first gear.. It feels super stiff. Car will still move but It will not go into second fourth or fifth but can go into first third and reverse but it's tough. It won't go in...

So I started my car today to warm it up and turned it off and saw that I had transmission oil leaked out all over under my car... Anyone know what that could be ? I haven't swapped LSDs yet.

Alright Ill take a shot at it. Is there a post anywhere with the steps to do it ? Thanks guys

I blew my LSD and was wondering the cost of swapping it for an mfactory LSD. Or I was wondering if I can do the job myself... I have the tranny out I just need some pointers...

Where can I find that ?
