So I just had my inspection done... and FAILED!!! Only due to a crack in my windshield. It will cost me somewhere in the neighborhood of $550 to get it fixed in Vancouver. Anyone have any ideas on how I could get it done cheaper? I'm thinking I should just drive back to Alberta and get it done...

The kit I bought from Canadian Tire was a hybrid kit, each can was equivalent to 18oz of R-12 or 16oz of R-134a. I'm not too sure about this, the instructions stated that the can was supposed to be upside-down while recharging. And I think the LeakStop can was mostly to help with revitalizing...

Yes, there is a chart in the Workshop Manual. It should read between 3-5C depending on the outside temp. Before I can see how well the kit worked I need to pick up a thermometer to measure the output temp. Will post the results when I can.

I actually tried toothpaste (non-gel) to buff out a scratch mark on my yellow P5, it was a pretty easy way to find out that it doesn't have a clear coat on it, but it actually worked alright. Toothpaste contains silica particles, just like the polishing paste but probably not a easy on the car...

I found these on E-Bay and I'm wondering if anyone has tried them. Rather than using the tape-jack under the Head Unit, it connects to the CD-Changer plug at the back of the HU. It seems like the same idea as the AuxMod setup but a bit more complicated and not as clean. Check it out...
