oh ok...i don't know if it says on there street legal or for offroad use only i would have to check that. but its my understanding that most parts for the protege 5's are street legal.

yeah i aggree i changed both my belts in about 1 hour. Not to hard to do. a little difficult to get the alternator one cause of where it is at. but not hard to do at all.

i want to put some OBX headers on my protege 5 but i don't know if they will pass inspection. does anyone know if they will be legal and pass inspection in north carolina?

yeah dude you are going to prbebly need to get a new head gasket cause if you look at a picture of one you will see that there are gaskets that surround the sparkplugs. look at the a picture of it and you will see what i am talking about.

it depends on your application. if you keep in a high rev state then yes synthetic is the best way to go but if not then regular motor oil is the better bet. granted synthetic does do a better job of protecting the engine since its molecules are much smaller than regular oil. if you want to use...

By the way you are going to need, if i remember correctly, both 14 and 12 mm sockets or wrenches which ever you have. I'll post some pics soon to try to help explain the directions.
