I heard from somewhere that this "shuddering" is due to the EGR valve going bad. My P5 has been doing this more and more lately, mainly when I'm sitting at a light. It started around 90K miles and has gradually gotten worse. I'm at 119K now. I'm hesitant to spend the $$ until I know for sure...

I believe the dealer uses white lithium grease on things like hinges and such. Maybe even locks as well.

Ah, yes... but HIDs.....

That's just it, the Hawk HP+ pads only have the metal plate the pad itself is attatched to, nothing more. I tried to fit the stock shim on them, but it wouldn't fit, so I foolishly threw it away and now my brakes sqeak like hell when I stop.

If you inadvertantly threw away your stock shims when installing your new pads, can you pick up a new set at any auto parts store or do you have to go to a dealer?
