Interesting that you mention not buying first year model runs. I bought a '17 CX-5, the first year model of second generation. I've had it over 2 years and I've had zero issues with it and no recalls. Although, Mazda added cylinder deactivation tech to the '18 and '19 models which is being...
This is my guess on a refresh:
Most or all of the new features on the Mazda 3 will make it to the refresh for the 2020 CX5. The 2021 model will have little to no changes and an all new 2022 CX5 will come out early 2021 (March or April). The new 2022 CX-5 model will definitely have everything the...
It's never happened to me but I doubt it's someone else's remote causing it.
This reminds me of a car review I read back in the early 90s. It was for a Cadillac, I think. Anyway, the reviewers came to a restaurant or something and there was another car exactly like the one they were reviewing...
Had the window roll down feature on my '97 Maxima and my '08 TSX. Thought I'd miss it but you just get accustomed to features you have and don't have. Guess you just learn to live without certain things. But, I can open my rear hatch while approaching my CX-5. That's probably just as much...
My 2017 CX-5 GT AWD gets pretty good MPG..if I'm careful with it. This was from a round trip I made yesterday. Mostly highway. I tried to not go over 65 mph. (There was some road construction that limited me to 55 mph for about 12 miles.) I've actually gotten a little better than this before...
It's unfortunate that you have to deal with this. Although, I'm not surprised.
When the dealer installed my roof rails they dented the roof panel just above each door on the driver's side. I didn't notice it for a couple of weeks afterwards. Looked just like hail dents and had to argue a...
I think the same thing! You could easily imagine minivan sliding doors on a CRV. The CX-5 doesn't look like it could be confused with a minivan. Oops, I made a comparison.
Mazda is supposedly going after a new demographic with the new CX-5. (Especially in Grand Touring trim) Just curious what others traded in for their CX-5.
I traded in a '13 Volvo S60 Platinum.
Yes. I think you're correct. If you have Adaptive Cruise I think the CX-5 will come to a complete stop on it's own, whether it be another vehicle or brick wall ahead.
