LIke I said, it's dependent on the incident light. I guess the pearl paint is a b**** to match on plastic . The pearl on the cladding glistens just like the pearl on the metal..Base ,pearl and clear... Done at a Hot Rod custom body shop. Their paint work is flawless... Well at least to...
I agree about the "flow" Tell it to Ford also about the F150... Poor choice by Mazda. It looks like they tried to make it look like a Mini.. Then again opinions are like a-holes, everybody's got one... ;^) If you read the other posts, matching the metal and plastic body parts sometimes doesn't...
Looks good. Would look even better if they'd matched the color
It's the photograph.. Ironically the paint from Mazda does not match up that well.
In shade or low light you can see the plastic painted parts are just a touch off. Bumper covers mainly. They just don't sparkle like the metal...
I love Love LOVE this auto and the wheel cladding was just a bit too much.. Had a hotrod body shop paint the cladding white and also took the liberty to paint the brake calipers RED. The look of the car looks a bit more grounded with the bold black just on the bottom. That's just me....YMMV...

I kinda like how the CX-30 is a bit taller. I don't flop in the seat like my previous Civic Coupe.
I checked fuel mileage on my first tank...29.6 mpg!!! Not too shabby. Let's see what the average of a few tanks is. I'm not a boy racer so I expect it to be reasonable.

I do like that render but the reality of making the cladding match seems like it would be quite difficult.
I don't think it would be any harder than painting a plastic bumper cover. Use the same Pearl paint and it would look good.
Actually, back to the idea of covering the cladding...What...
