I prefer not to use my iPod through my head unit, because I've heard that this way you can only page through a few playlists... and to me, the point of having my iPod in my car was to eliminate the need for CDs (except when the iPod battery dies), because I would have my whole music collection...

I really think that it would be unnecessary to get the Alpine Amp + Head Unit, because the Mazda stock head unit is fine by me. I have the 6-disc CD Changer. Would anyone know where to buy a stock Mazda Pro5 '03.5 tape deck for cheap? My FM Transmitter broke, but I wasn't very happy with it...
