I bought cross bars from Ebay before I was able to find an OEM setup. The Ebay cross bars did not fit and were not even close to OEM quality. I eventually got my money back but it was not worth my time. The OEM cross bars fit perfectly and I use the ski rack several times a week.
The installation of the cross bars was super fun for me. I ended up using a lighted mirror so I could see what I was doing. Just installed my Thule ski rack today as skiing starts here at the end of next week.
We have the Weatherready on my wife's 17 CRV Touring. An excellent tire IMO. Very quiet and excellent grip in all weather conditions. However, I still mount winter wheels/tires for all the snow we get around here.
Tirerack.com is showing 27 tires in that size. I buy tires and wheels from them all the time, they can even ship the tires to your preferred tire shop. Good luck!
I have the Goodyear Assurance Weather ready on my WIfe's 17 CRV Touring. Great all weather traction and very quiet on the highway. We get over 100" a winter and have a lot of hills around my house so we always run winter tires on all our cars.
17x7.5 MSW Type 55 MT DRK GRY. It ends up being a 30.5" vs the factory 30". It's the size that Tire Rack recommended for a 17" wheel. It's 1.6% larger diameter but no issues with rubbing, plenty of room. At 60mph indicated, the actual speed will be 61mph so not worried.
Just installed these today as we are going to see snow in the mountains over the next few days. Went with a 245/70/17 Yokohoma IceGuard G075. Ordered it from Tirerack.com. As with the several winter wheel/tire sets I have purchased from them, the transaction went perfect. I cannot wait to put...
Finally took a short day trip up to Wyoming with just 1200 miles on the odometer. It was around 400 miles round trip. The CX-9 did great, plenty of passing power on the highway, great handling on curvy roads. Gas mileage was in the mid 20's in the 70-85mph range(80mph speed limits here). Still...
I just ordered a winter tire/wheel set from Tire Rack. I went with 17" MSW Type 55 with Yokohoma Iceguard GO75 in 245/70/17. They arrive on Monday. Pictures to follow once I swap them over.
